A lesson in CPR – NEC Kingwood
On March 14, 2017, the Kingwood community was invited to Neighbors Emergency Center to learn how to save a life. The cardiopulmonary resuscitation class (CPR) was taught by the center’s Facility Director. The students were paired in groups to assist one another as they received detailed instructions on how to give CPR.
The class used adult and infant size CPR manikins, to learn the seriousness of rendering first aid as well as how to gain and maintain control during a health crisis. The attendees said the information was very detailed. One student went as far to say the CPR course offered by Neighbors was more hands-on and that she feel more comfortable giving CPR.
