Neighbors Emergency Center Lakeline, Mueller Supports Susan G. Komen’s First “Pink Tie Guy” Campaign

HOUSTON, Texas, February 6, 2017 – Neighbors Emergency Center Lakeline and Mueller locations are proud to participate in the Susan G. Komen’s inaugural “Pink Tie Guys” event in Austin on February 10. Neighbors values the work of local non-profit agencies and is honored to join in this foundational fundraiser.

Neighbors will sponsor Dr. R. Lee Chilton, III, the Regional Medical Director for Neighbors Emergency Centers in Austin, to sport his pink tie in this fundraising campaign. Besides wearing his pink tie on February 10, Chilton will also send out emails, post on social media, and make phone calls to raise money to fight and end breast cancer. Chilton is also participating in honor of a fellow Neighbors physician recently diagnosed with cancer.

With one in eight women in the US affected by breast cancer, Neighbors understands the importance of supporting those affected by breast cancer, as well as all other cancers. By partnering with the Austin Susan G. Komen “Pink Tie Guy” event, Neighbors hopes to help save lives and make a lasting impact against breast cancer in the community. Proceeds go toward providing lifesaving mammograms and breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer.

This positive action is a direct link with Neighbors’ core values of having a genuine, compassionate heart; a guardian mentality that protects those in need; and a collaborative act delivered with a friendly smile in the communities we serve.
