“A private exam room and bed were ready for me unlike a hospital ER. I have no words to explain how good my experience was at Neighbors Emergency Center West Warwick. I suffered a bad episode of vertigo last summer. So when I had recent issues with dizziness, I took my prescription and tried to ride it out. But the next morning my symptoms were severe. My husband took me before dawn to Neighbors and they wheeled me back into a private room right away. Blood work was done immediately and the doctor and staff were genuine in their care and concern for me. They even offered my husband coffee while I was getting treated. The cause for my imbalance and dizziness is easy to rectify with medication, but what impressed me most was that I felt like a person ‘seen’ and I’m thankful for that. Neighbors does not treat you like a number. To have your ER doctor call you the next day to see how you are doing is something I’ve never experienced here. Then to get a card in the mail signed by all the people that treated me to say ‘we hope you are feeling better’ is not something you get locally. Neighbors is just 10 minutes from my house. It doesn’t matter what time it is, because they are open 24-hours a day; someone will be there to help you. The hospital is too big, overloaded and not well-monitored. The time before when I needed ER care I was in a hallway that had been cubed into spaces. My visit at Neighbors West Warwick was like walking into heaven. I am glad they are part of my community.”
