Rad Tech Week

It’s Rad Tech week! Neighbors Emergency Center has amazing Rad Techs that help provide the very best in emergency care for our patients. But you may be asking yourself… what IS a Rad Tech?

What does a Rad Tech do?

Rad Tech stands for Radiologic Technologist. Rad Techs are health care professionals who operate the diagnostic imaging machines that help our physicians to diagnose patients. Radiologic Technologists are crucial members of our emergency medical team, providing important care for patients.

How do you become a Rad Tech?

Radiologic Technology is a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and healthcare career. Rad Techs earn a minimum of an associate’s degree and are certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Many Rad Techs specialize in one particular area of imaging, such as CT scan, X-ray, or mammography.

Meet Neighbors’ Rad Techs

If you’ve ever had an X-ray, MRI, CT scan, or other diagnostic image performed, you have been helped by a Rad Tech! Join us in giving a big round of applause for our fabulous Rad Techs who help us to deliver extraordinary emergency care, every day!

Baytown Neighbors - Robert Martinez, Lead Rad Tech

We are thankful for Robert and the expertise that he brings to Baytown. Robert has been with Neighbors for over 5 years – 2 of those as Lead Rad Tech for the Baytown location. He makes everyone feel welcome and creates an inviting work environment. Robert puts patients first, striving to create a patient experience, and not just an ER visit. He goes above and beyond for his patients and his team!

Crosby Neighbors - Jennifer Humphreys, Rad Tech

Jennifer is energetic, dependable, and hard-working. She has been a vital part of the Crosby Neighbors team since Sept 2015. Jennifer is always willing to tackle any task and goes above and beyond to help her patients and staff. Having grown up in the Crosby area, she is entrenched in the community and cares deeply about caring for her neighbors.

Vania Mireles, Omar Quinones, David Fernandez, Jesse De La Torre - Pasadena Rad Tech Team

We may be a tad biased, but our Pasadena Rad Techs are, without a doubt, some of the best that exist. They consistently go above-and-beyond to provide our patients with excellent care and make sure they leave our center pleased. They are amazing members of our family-like team and Pasadena would not be the same without them.  We are so lucky to have you! Thank you so much for all you do David, Omar, Vania, & Jesse!
